How to save for a trip with friends

Agree on the number first
Before anyone books anything, add up the big costs: travel, stay and a rough daily budget. Divide it by the number of people and round up a little. A shared number stops the "I thought it would be cheaper" conversation before it starts.

Let everyone add in their own rhythm
Some people like to save a little every day, others prefer one amount after payday. That is fine. In a shared goal, each person adds what they can, and everyone sees the total grow in real time.
Keep it visible
